Bosuil Nursery is situated in the North-East of Pretoria and specializes in the wholesale of various varieties of Pecan Trees. Kindly note that an appointment is essential before visiting us. We are approved and registered at the Department of Agriculture. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE REG NO: 771000010
We grow and sell trees in 20 liter x 700mm plastic bags.
We are able to supply both grafted and non-grafted trees.
We also supply bare-root trees, although they can only be planted during the months of July and August. As for bagged trees, those can be planted year round.
All our grafted varieties are professionally grafted on Ukulinga rootstock.
We are also able to supply you with the grafted variety of your choice.
We stock and graft all available varieties in South Africa.

Non-grafted seedlings and native pecan trees often take 10 to 15 years to begin to produce fruit. Grafted varieties produce fruit in 5-10 years depending on variety Pecans are not actually considered a nut, but instead are a fruit surrounded by a husk with a stone pit in the center, which is the part you eat. Many varieties are considered alternate-bearing. This means that one year they’ll produce large quantities of nuts and the following year they’ll produce smaller harvests. During the years pecans yield large harvests, nutrients are depleted much more quickly. Be sure to feed them more heavily during these years. Pecan wood, being a softer wood, is most often used in flooring, veneer, and furniture. Pecans reach maturity at about twelve years old and can live as long as 300 years!
